The reclusive philosopher

Not every successful artist seeks fame and recognition.

Here’s an interview with Robert Pirsig, whose first book (Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance) I enjoyed greatly when I read it in freshman year of university. I’m grateful to the English professor (Prof. Panda) who chose it for his class. That class is the single best class I had in my entire university career, and this book was one of the bigger reasons I enjoyed it so much. Most other people in the class didn’t enjoy it so much (many didn’t even read it) but for me it was a monumental experience. I purchased and read the guidebook to the novel (if it can be called that) and also it’s follow-up, Lila, which is another contemporary philosophical heavyweight in my opinion.
