[I'm sure I've written something along these lines here before, but here it is again.]

With each new book I read, the thirst grows stronger, the void grows greater – the void of all that I haven’t read, of all the knowledge I don’t have and perhaps may never have.

But, the crucial comfort I gain along the way, is the feeling of contentment about realizing that it’s OK that I won’t know everything in this lifetime; that it’s alright I won’t get to read every book I want to. All I need to have I will get; all I need to know I will learn.
