Are you for real?
I'm going to share ridiculous job postings I come across on Craigslist.  People want to pay programmers and developers a little more than what fast-food restaurant workers are paid (who, incidentially, I think are extremely underpaid for the amount of work they have to do).

Wow, this is a new low I've encountered.  (I think they meant the word "passed" below in italics where it reads "past", i.e., after it has passed our internal quality control standards.)

We are in need of someone with HTML and CSS experience to help us in the creation of landing pages and other websites.

You'll need to have strong computer skills, as we will probably be giving you more than just HTML & CSS work. You will be transfering files, working with FTP and more.

Please respond with your resume, as well as a text file (yes, text file) of the source code of a website with one of the following doctypes:

HTML 4.01 Transitional
XHTML 1.0 Transitional
XHTML 1.0 Strict

If the code is your own, this is a bonus. If you do not follow these instructions, you will not be considered.

We are a small business consulting company that provides excellence in our services to clients. We do not tolerate texting, messaging, or other non-productive activites. We are a fast paced environment and will expect you to get up to speed quickly.

At the same time, we're laid back and allow you to work flexible schedules (9-5, 10-6 or 11-7, whichever you prefer).

We will be performing interviews immediately, and the sooner you can start, the better.
