Are you for real?
I'm going to share ridiculous job postings I come across on Craigslist.  People want to pay programmers and developers a little more than what fast-food restaurant workers are paid (who, incidentially, I think are extremely underpaid for the amount of work they have to do).

Look, buddy - are you seeking a web designer or a model? I assume you already have the air-headed models who can't do what we developers and designers can do.

If you want to be taken seriously, and not as a creep, stop asking for pictures. If we, the talent YOU SEEK, want to be comfortable working on YOUR site, you will look no further than our portfolios and skills. That's it, that's all.

I replied to your ad and didn't respond back to your e-mail after you asked for pictures. My portfolio is open to scrutiny, NOT what I look like.

How about a little respect for your designer? If you want us to be comfortable working in your office and not have to worry about what kind of trick the CREEP is going to pull out of his hat, then, focus on the SKILLS.

I have flagged your ad and will continue to do so. You keep this unethical discrimination up, I will report you to the authorities for not making your intentions clear. UNDERSTAND? You are, after all, a man asking random people offering you their legal, legitimate services, for pictures, and stipulating that they must be women.

RED FLAG, RED FLAG, RED FLAG!

LOSER!

We are a startup company with a new product for which we need to design a website and setup a webstore (amazon.com preferred, or yahoo, google, eBay maybe as well) to enable us to take orders and manage the business. We will also need help setting up hosting for everything.

We can pay $12 per hour. The project duration is expected to be about 100 hours +/-.

If you have/can do this kind of work and are interested in helping us with this effort, please email me with links to any sample websites you have created. You would be retained as an independant contractor and paid at the end of each week.

Thanks!
