Tabu is excellent as the mistress. Irfan is good but not at his best, in my opinion. Pankaj Kapoor is great as usual, as are Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri.

Beautiful movie about the lives of a couple of prostitutes in Madrid.

Better than her first movie, Main Hoon Na (which isn't saying much).

The acting isn't great except maybe toward the end for a little bit. Arjun Rampal is actually probably the best of the bunch, because his role is fresh and he does a good job at it.

The Filmfare scene is original and maybe cool because they managed to convince many actors to cameo, but it's not that funny.

There's too much saying "dude" and "fish" (instead of fuck).

Overall, an average commercial Indian movie with nothing remarkable about it other than big stars and lots of publicity and hype.

Indian "adaptation" of Almodovar's Live Flesh, which I watched last month (and loved).

This movie is nowhere nearly as well done. It's slow and because it's Indian cinema the love stories are drawn out and boring.

Very realistic, if somewhat discouraging, picture of coming-of-age in Delhi. (The movie was filmed at Delhi University.)

The clash between Prerna and Apoorva's progressive but rather heartless upper-class values and Sanjay's middle-class conservatism is intelligent.

Naseeruddin Shah's son is likable and does well. The English is a bit too much but only because of the Indian accent.

Portrayal of sex is believable and unglamorized, but a bit pathetic when they try so hard to be western in their manners and vernacular. However, for the first time in an Indian movie I'm seeing liberal use of contemporary words other than the usual "shit," including dickhead and fuck off.

I was disappointed. I generally really enjoy John Cusack's movies.
